Reflection Blog: Franzen's TEDtalk: "Save What You Love"

Franzen reflects one the ways that people have destroyed the natural habitats of animals, and his own experience with being an environmentalist. He focused on the facts and figure that ultimately show we are too late to reverse the effects we have had on the earth. He proposed that we focus on supporting and saving what we can. This includes little things like using less energy and keeping household pets indoors. He used a case study about a bird that was though to be extinct until it was rediscovered in a forest near farmers who began to work to cultivate the land with native plants to rebuilding a habitat for these birds as well as other native species. I think that his idea is smart and overall agree with it. It gives people the ability to analyze how they live their life, and see simple swaps they could make in order to support the environment around them for the sake of themselves as well as the animals. I think that adding the idea of conservation on a personal level to my project would be a good idea that could help people take immediate action. I would like to help find ways for people to do this with my project.
